NEW ON BROADWAY!

Move over Hamilton, there are some new critic’s darlings taking up residency on Broadway.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN about a lonely teenager who becomes an overnight internet sensation might be America’s first great musical about social media. “Pitch Perfect” star Ben Platt plays the title character and “is giving a performance that’s not likely to be bettered on Broadway this season” according to the New York Times. “La La Land’“ lyricists, Ben Paske & Justin Paul deliver emotional gut punches with soon to be classic numbers like “Only Us” & “Waving Through A Window.” DEAR EVAN HANSEN premiered December 4th at the Music Box Theatre but come see it before the word gets out.

Critics are also raving about A BRONX TALE: THE MUSICAL based on Chazz Palmenteri’s autobiographical play & film which premiered December 1st at the Longacre Theatre. The familiar story revolves around growing up conflicted in an Italian-American neighborhood in the 1960s. Tony, Academy & Grammy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin) provides the doo wop, rock and roll & motown music that powers the show while Glenn Slater provided books and lyrics. Find out why the New York Times is calling A BRONX TALE “just what the doctor ordered.”

IN TRANSIT had its premiere December 11th at the Circle in the Square Theatre and is the first a cappella musical ever to hit Broadway. This charming view of metropolitan life follows 11 New Yorkers as they ride the city’s subway system. This pedigreed production features books, music & lyrics by James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan, Sara Wordsworth & Academy Award winning “Let It Go” writer Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Vocal arrangements by Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect, “The Sing-Off”). IN TRANSIT is directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award® winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It).
