The return of Tiger! Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson all vying for career Grand Slams! A clustered “who’s who” of young guns competing for the #1 ranking in the world! And the Ryder Cup’s first appearance ever in France!
The 2018 golf season is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated in recent memory and Events 365 has your clients covered in witnessing history unfold.
A tradition like no other, The Masters is the only one of golf’s four majors to play at the same course year over year: Augusta National Golf Club. The famous quest for the signature green jacket and being inked into the record books also comes with a not too shabby $2 million in winning prize money.
Sergio Garcia will be back to defend his title as well as many other past champions including #3 ranked golfer in the world Jordan Spieth. Early favorites include Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Jason Day, John Rahm, Justin Thomas and Hideki Matsuyama while Rory McIlroy needs only a green jacket to complete his career grand slam. However the most anticipated entrant will of course be 4-time Masters winner, Tiger Woods, who has not competed in Augusta since the 2015 tournament.
US Open: June 14-17, 2018 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, New York
Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on the south fork of Long Island hosts the 118th U.S. Open in June. This venerable club has hosted the US open four times previously with the first dating back to 1896. Defending champion Brooks Koepka will put his hard hitting driver to the test on this 7,450 yard par 70 course. Phil Mickelson will be a big storyline as he looks to cap a career grand slam on the same course he let the 2004 US Open slip away by three putting from 5 feet away on the par 3 17th hole for a double-bogey.
Fans can get a front-row seat (or at least a decent standing spot) by purchasing any of the following tickets:
The windswept terrain of Scotland’s Carnoustie Golf Links is known for a number of things: thick rough, frighteningly deep bunkers and having previously played host to the Open Championship seven times. Carnoustie is a notoriously difficult course that has derailed more than a few talented golfers including Sergio Garcia whose heart-breaking bogey on the 72nd hole in 2007 ultimately cost him a chance to raise The Claret Jug.
The British Open, as it’s often called, rotates every year among the historic courses around Great Britain and will make its way to Northern Ireland next year. At last year’s Open Championship at Royal Birkdale outside of Liverpool, Jordan Spieth put on a show for the ages with a finishing stretch of birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie to pull away for a 3 stroke win over second place Matt Kuchar.
The newly opened Golf Center at Carnoustie will invite visitors to refresh themselves at the new bar and restaurant, heritage area, and state-of-the-art simulator bays. Daily and weekly passes are available, and there are also bundles that include options for weekend access, entry to all practice and championship play and reserved club seating with tons of luxury perks.
When the Professional Golfers’ Association of America held its first championship tournament in 1916 the winner that year, Jim Barnes, walked away with a diamond-studded medal and $500. The 2018 PGA Championship will offer a record-breaking $11 million in prize money alongside the coveted championship title that will earn the winner invitations to the other three majors for five years as well as extended memberships to the PGA and European Tours.
This 100th edition of the PGA Championship returns to Bellerive Country Club, just outside St. Louis, after a 26 year hiatus. 2017’s surprise champion Justin Thomas will be back to defend his crown while his best friend and golfing buddy, Jordan Spieth will be looking to become the second youngest player in history to complete a career grand slam.
Weekend access to the PGA Championship is in high demand, but there is also availability for viewing space at the practice rounds and Seasons Grounds Ticket Packages that include entry to all seven days of tournament play. Younger fans are given an extra welcome — anyone under the age of 17 is admitted free of charge as long as they’re accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Events 365 is proud to offer the following ticket options:
Every two years, Europe’s best golfers face off against the United States’ best in the Ryder Cup. European captain, Thomas Bjorn and US Captain Jim Furyk will be responsible for choosing the last 4 of the members of their respective teams while a combination of PGA/European tour standings, world rankings and prize money determines the 8 other team members who get to square off in this fiercely competitive 3 days of match play.
The Ryder Cup tournament rotates between Europe and the US and in 2018, France will play host for the very first time at Le Golf National located 20 miles southwest of Paris, near the palace of Versailles. 80,000 spectators are expected each day to see the best of the best pull out all the stops in this always fun and memorable tournament.
