International Champions Cup 2017 – The Soccer Event of Summer

Posted by Events 365 | May 25, 2017 | Sports

Soccer fans worldwide turn their attention to North America this summer for the 5th Annual  International Champions Cup. Eight of the world’s greatest soccer teams will be facing each other in world-class stadiums across the United States (see the detailed schedule below).

These events provide travel agents with an opportunity to give clients the experience of a lifetime! Fans will be able to see six out of ten UEFA Champions League title holders as they play against each other over 12 days (July 19-July 30).

One of the most anticipated games will happen on Saturday July 29th, between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in Miami (learn more here). This will be the first time El Clasico has ever been played in the United States. The halftime show will be headlined by two-time Grammy Award winner Marc Anthony.

Another highlight of the ICC includes the famous Manchester Derby- an ongoing rivalry between Manchester United and Manchester City, which some experts claim “splits Manchester City in two”. Houston plays host to this eagerly anticipated match on July 20th.

Don’t let your clients miss out on these historic games! In August 2014, more than 109,300 fans packed into the “Big House” in Ann Arbor, MI to cheer on Real Madrid & Manchester United, making it the highest attended soccer game in US history.

Ticket prices range anywhere from $110 for standard seat sections to $14,000 for a luxury suite. Examples include:

Manchester United v Manchester City (July 20th) @ the NRG Stadium
$107.38- Directors Club 717, row P
$10,726.00- Field Level Corner 139, row K

Real Madrid v Barcelona (July 29th) @ the Hard Rock Stadium

As your clients arrive to their destinations and await the day of the game, they will be able to enjoy and explore the host cities by visiting museums, amusement parks and other fun-filled attractions!
