Clients heading to England over summer? Then read on to find the hot-ticket events they need to attend!

Wimbledon
July 3-16, 2017

Wimbledon is a name familiar to most. Not only is it the oldest tennis tournament in the world, dating back to 1877, but by many standards, it is also the most prestigious. Top-ranked hometown Gentlemen’s favorite, Andy Murray, will be aiming for a second consecutive Wimbledon championship; while defending Ladies’ champion, Serena Williams, will be on the hunt for her 8th Wimbledon title.

Wimbledon, England is just a 45min drive / 35 min train ride east from London. The grounds feature 18 grass courts total, with the tennis matches of the Wimbledon Championship being played on Centre Court and No. 1 Court.

As there are matches for two consecutive weeks, and players from across the globe, travel consultants have the opportunity to create the ultimate day for clients traveling to Europe during the summer.

The Five Main Events:

  • Gentlemen’s Singles

  • Ladies’ Singles

  • Gentlemen’s Doubles

  • Ladies’ Doubles

  • Mixed Doubles

The Open Championship
July 16-23, 2017

The 146th British Open Golf Tournament will be played at the Royal Birkdale Golf Course, located in Southport, England, about 40 minutes north of Liverpool.

The Royal Birkdale was established in 1889, and this will be the 10th time it will be hosting the Open Championship. The course is located on 4000-year-old Sefton dune system, which means that on any given day you will find sand lizards, natterjack toads, and skylarks living across the course. While the natural landscape provides a stunning playground for golf, the course has been groomed and renovated many times over the years. Today, Royal Birkdale is arguably one of the finest Championship courses of its time. Past Open winners at Birkdale include Tom Watson (1983), Lee Trevino (1971), Johnny Miller (1976), and Arnold Palmer (1961)

Let your clients see the world’s greatest players across 8 days of golf’s most prestigious Championship.
